old-school music online

About a year ago, I discovered this crazy cool website that plays streaming audio of music from back in the day. Its called Boston Pete.com and it is located here.

Once you get on the website, select radio tuner, then pick which type of music you want to listen to. It will take you to that “show’s” page and then select “latest show” or “play broadcast.”

My personal favorite is the very first one “Adult Standards/Song book America.” It is music that includes the following just to name a few: Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Bing Crosby, Jazzy numbers & big band songs with no words (obviously not a group), I have even heard newer songs by Josh Groban on here. There are a ton of songs from the late 30s-60s.

Anyway, if you are looking for something “new” to listen to, try some old tunes.
