Do you remember Megan Quann, Olympic athlete from Puyallup who won gold in Sydney? On Monday, Megan Quann Jendrick qualified for a spot on the 2008 team. YEAH! One of my favorite sports memories of all times was her 100 meter breaststroke at the Sydney games. I was living in Edmonton at the time so I was watching the CBC. Another swimmer in the race trained in Calgary so they aired the race live. There I was all by myself in at 3 am in the dorm lounge jumping up and down with silent screams as Quann came from behind to take the gold.

A few weeks later, while at home for Christmas break, I even called up KIRO as they were discussing the best sports moments of the year and added her win to the conversation. Good times.

Good luck Jendrick, I will enjoy watching this time as well.
