Woke up with a migraine

Please pray for that, as I’m out of my migraine medicine and the insurance company won’t refill my perscription until tomorrow.

Thanks.

Debra here

Making a little more progress.

I was able to do a little walking and finally am getting a chance to enjoy a little food.

It’s really nice to be not feeling the affects of a migraine, which really slowed me down yesterday.

Thanks for all the continued prayers. We have. Few more goals to hit and then we can start looking at discharge.

I’m a little pale, but then again, my makup foundation is called “translucent” 😉

Day 3

JJ here, typing for Debra. We’re making a lot of progress. Debra is down to one tether. After a productive morning of x-rays, a echo-cardiogram, and chest drain tube removals, we are hoping to be up and about more. Another migraine seemed to be brewing but a dose of meds and a long deep nap seemed to keep it at bay.

Cardiac Recovery Room…

Debra has moved to the Cardia Recovery Room (out of ICU)! But she looks to be having a migraine. Please pray for her migraine to dissipate.

Day 2…

Debra is doing great! She is already up and out of bed, but is not walking the halls due to all the tubes and wires. Those same tubes are also keeping her in the ICU a bit longer than hoped. She got more sleep than she expected 🙂 , but still needs more rest. Thanks for all your prayers.

Making Progress…

Debra is doing great, the ventilator tube has been out since 3:00. She is happy, talkative and joking. She cannot wait to eat and drink again. They’re hoping and on track to have her out of the ICU and in a normal recovery room in the morning.

Out of Surgery…

Everything went even better than expected. They finished an hour and a half early. Her heart was only stopped for 20 minutes and she did not need any blood transfusions. The surgeon said the heart was already smaller.

Yea!!!
